Professor Hany Zayed
MD, MSc, FRSC
Professor Hany Zayed is an established and highly-regarded Vascular Surgeon in London. Professor Zayed qualified from medical school in 1994 . He completed a Master degree (MSc) in 1999 before going on to complete his MD in 2004. Professor Zayed was appointed as a vascular and endovascular consultant surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation in London in 2008. He went on to lead the vascular service in the trust between 2016 - 2018. Professor Zayed has a special interest in the management of arterial and venous diseases including complex endovascular (keyhole) and open surgical revascularisation of the lower limbs, particularly in patients with diabetes. He also has interest in the management of varicose veins particularly minimally-invasive treatment modalities. Additionally, he is interested in the treatment of various vascular problems including the repair of arterial aneurysms (both endovascular and open) and carotid artery disease.
Professor Zayed has a wide range of impactful peer-reviewed scientific publications as well as conference lectures in his areas of specialist interests, and has led multiple high-impact research projects. In view of this, he is a regular invited speaker at international and national flagship vascular conferences.
